Liberty Walk Acura NSX Is Real, Widebody Looks Otherworldly

Back in January, the tuning side of the world wide web was swept off its feet by the promise of a Liberty Walk kit for the Acura NSX. The supercar seemed a bit too fresh for such an aftermarket gift, so we wondered about the real-world details of the gig - we only received a set of renderings.

Well, the time has come to check out the first image of the actual car, which has just been published on the Japanese automotive producer's Facebook page.

The body kit is only partially present on the car, but the hybrid machine can be seen wearing other custom elements that have been installed for the complete aftermarket picture.

To be more precise, we're talking about an air suspension - supplied by AirRex, the hardware allows the gas-electric monster to almost touch the ground. The kind of aficionados who appreciate such offerings are all about the stance, so it's important for the upcoming aero goodies to be paired with such hardware.

Then we have the wheels, which mix a concave profile with a multi-spoke design. Despite the angular details of the Honda, the rolling goodies sport rounded styling cues, while coming in a two-tone finish that mixes glossy black with a polished look. Keep in mind that the wheels you see here come from Forgiato.

Then there's the custom exhaust included in the package. In our book, this is the most important part, since we're talking about hardware that has potential to change the character of the car.

Since the new NSX is animated by a gas-electric powertrain that involves a twin-turbocharged V6, the voice of the machine falls behind that of the competition and this custom exhaust could change that.

We'll return with more details on the widebody matter as soon as we get our hands on them.
