As you would expect, a sportscar or hot coupe is the sort of car any manufacturer working on a revival would play pretty close to the chest.
However, news of Lexus' pet project is leaking out. According to clublexus.com, the Japanese luxury automaker has trademarked the name RC F in the United States.
This comes after they registered the name RS 350 in Australia last year and proves their efforts are much more than a routine exercise in office work.
We have two Lexus concepts to take into consideration when trying to figure out what the RC F is. First, there's the LF-LC which is a concept for a big GT coupe. It's one of our favourite concepts of all time and company officials have said there's a 50/50 chance of it going into production. Hopefully, it's more like 90/10 now.
Secondly, there's the LF-CC concept shown in Paris last year. This clearly previewed the IS sedan but could itself become a production coupe in the future.
