The fun attitude Toyota is trying out these days must have rubbed off on Lexus as well, because they announced a concept that will make its world premiere at the 2012 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, and it looks like it received a fair bit of fun injected into it.
We only have a teaser photo go by right now, and even that reveals next to nothing. It was designed by Calty, Lexus' design studio in Newport Beach, California, and it’s supposed to show their future design language.

We’re taking a shot in the dark with this one, but we’d say that it’s a front engined rear-drive sportscar. It’s got a big grille that’s placed low in the bumper, and that’s what led us to believe the engine is in the front. The concept also has short overhang and big wheels that sit close to the arches.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
