Lexus Presenting Paris Auto Show Offensive

The world’s carmakers are preparing for this fall’s Paris Auto Show, with Lexus now announcing the offensive for the event.

The Paris Auto Show will see the Japanese company introducing the CT 200h to the market. Sold as “the first and only full-hybrid vehicle in the premium compact segment”, the car will arrive in showrooms in October. During the event, Lexus will release the full specs for the car, together with the pricing.

Lexus will also present the revised IS line-up at the show, with the range receiving the most important changes since it was introduced.

The IS range will receive a new model, in the form of the IS 200d. The vehicle will come with a turbodiesel engine delivering 150 hp. The move will allow future IS customers to choose between three models (IS 200d, IS 220d and IS 250) that come with improved fuel economy and lower emissions without sacrificing performance.

The IS range has received styling modifications for both the exterior and interior. In addition to that, the line-up is welcoming a new F Sport grade that is available for both petrol and diesel versions.

Lexus will also showcase the LFA supercar, a model that is scheduled to enter production in December, with all 500 units already sold. Lexus’ booth will also include its other hybrid models, the LS 600h, GS 450h, RX 450h, all dressed in White Pearl.

autoevolution will be attending the 2010 Paris Auto Show, so stay tuned for some real up close and personal shots of the vehicles, as well as for first-hand details of the motorized contraptions presented at the event.
