With the last unit delivered back in March, the limited edition Lexus LFA is long gone and we bet a lot of enthusiasts are banging their heads against the wall for not getting a chance to ride the ultimate Lexus luxury sportscar.
On the other hand, the Japanese automaker is more than proud of its LFA and has released a new video that showcases the exclusive V10-powered sportscar.
Developed since 2000 by a team of engineers headed by Haruhiko Tanahashi, the Lexus LFA was put into production about ten years later. Although it was nearly cancelled on several occasions, the LFA project eventually became a highly-acclaimed sportscar, both on the road and the track. While a new LFA won't be developed, the company claims "the materials, knowledge and techniques used in its creation will live on in future Lexus vehicles".
Powered by a 4.8-liter V10 engine mated to six-speed sequential gearbox, the Lexus LFA boasts 552 HP and 354 lb-ft of torque. This translates into a top speed of 202 mph (325 km/h) and a 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) time of 3.7 seconds.
