Some people tend to treat their cars like some sort of appliances only needed to reach a destination. Artist will.i.am says his car is more like an extension to his personality and that he tends to wear it like some kind of accessory. We couldn’t agree more and probably most gearheads will share the same thoughts here.
And since will.i.am declared his love for stylish machines, he also unveiled a personally designed new Lexus NX at an exclusive party in Paris, adding even more style and personality to the nonconformist compact SUV.

"When I found out Lexus wanted me to be involved in the Striking Angles campaign, my first thought was, can I design a car with you?” said will.i.am. “I’m honored to be launching my bespoke Lexus NX F SPORT in Paris –this car is super fresh and incorporates my personal style. My point of view is the best kind of design will encourage other people to interpret that design.”

Small touches, big difference

The youth-oriented NX exterior design got slightly changed using a blend of brushed aluminum, carbon vinyl, a matte pearl white paintjob, black tinted glass roof as well as flared fenders and a set of 22-inch rims finished in a luminous black machined shade.

The whole car has been lowered a bit while the interior received a combination of brushed aluminum and contrasting soft materials. The leather seats have been embroidered with will.i.am’s globally renowned #willpower logo and the stock steering wheel got replaced with a custom-made one.

Another cool feature is the 180-degree cameras system, which enables the driver to take pictures from every side of the car and upload them to a smartphone. Speaking of which, you can now recharge in the special wireless recharging tray placed inside the central console armrest of the new NX.
