Lexus NX 300h Enjoys the Madrid Nightlife to Showcase "Amazing Urban Design"

With headlights that look like they were cut into granite by a skillfully executed samurai sward strike, the Lexus NX definitely cuts a dashing figure. Not surprising then that Lexus UK believes this crossover is mostly at home in the city and is only too willing to explain why with a brand film titled 'Amazing Urban Design'.

The 2-minute brand clip is the work of Top Gear director Konrad Begg, who shot on location with the NX 300h in Madrid last month. Promoting the £30,000 in Britain will not be easy, considering the abundance of German rivals on sale in Britain, but on looks alone, the baby brother of the RX might do quite well.

Lighting is definitely the strongest point of this vehicle. A simple design invokes a strong and easily perceived presence for the front end. LED fog lamps at the bottom of the bumper also double as cornering lights, making city navigation safer at night. Even the door handles are illuminated to show their position.

The interior also features a number of innovations, including a new type of touch pad with feedback and the head-up display that provides important information.

Lexus is certainly a large company, but not one that can take unnecessary risks with its product line. A small crossover designed for urban mobility and powered by a small hybrid engine sounds like a gamble, but looking at the fresh design, the NX300h is probably a sure thing.
