Following the LC and LX, it’s the turn of the LS to receive the Inspiration Series treatment. Without further beating around the bush, the LS 500 Inspiration Series features Kiriko glass trim, a white-and-black interior theme, Deep Garnet exterior paint, and 20-inch wheels finished in Black Vapor Chrome.
As the headline implies, only 300 examples of the breed are available to order in the United States. Pricing will be announced later in the year, and as you’d expect, look forward to more than $75,450 excluding destination charge for the rear-wheel-drive option. All-wheel drive adds a further $3,220 to the price.

Sharing a platform with the LC, the LS in 500 flavor is propelled by a twin-turbo V6 with 3.5 liters of displacement. A 10-speed automatic transmission comes standard, channeling 416 horsepower and 442 pound-feet of torque to either the rear or all four wheels of the luxury-oriented sedan from Japan.

Lexus claims the semi-aniline leather upholstery utilizes a special dyeing process to bring out the white, but on the other hand, please don’t wear jeans while driving the Inspiration Series. White upholstery is a pain to keep clean, which means that you’ll have to dress up for the occasion whenever you’re up for a drive. Needless to mention, don’t go to the drive-thru at McDonald’s either.

Mentioned in the first paragraph, Kiriko glass trim used to be exclusive to the Executive Package. “One of the most striking interior design flourishes” of the LS, these babies are designed to reflect the white accents on the doors and Mark Levinson speaker grills. Blue LED lighting for the dashboard and Lexus puddle lamps are a few other of the Inspiration Series’ strong points.

Customers who take the LS 500 with rear-wheel drive can expect to accelerate to 60 miles per hour in 4.6 seconds, an impressive figure given the size and weight of the Japanese luxobarge. Opt for all-wheel drive, and Lexus treats the car to a Torsen limited-slip differential to enhance grip, traction, and stability in the twisties.
