A guilty pleasure. That's what you'd call this rendering portraying a Lexus LFA that has been gifted with one hell of a widebody conversion. And while there's more to this render than meets the eye, we'll start with the visuals.
The V10 vessels that is this Lex certainly doesn't require help in the appearance department. However, digital artist Khyzyl Saleem decided to give the supercar a thourought update and then some.

While the fat arches and the well-held carbon front slplitter compete for attention, the side skirts, rear diffuser and rear wing aren't exactly easy to overlook - all the carbon only comes to complement the CF structure of the beast.

What about the fat-lipped wheels, which barely clear those fat arches and pack quite a bit of negative camber? Well, this is just a trend that seems to be more and more popular on social media.

Let's take a look beyond these pixels

For one thing, the said artist has seen his extrovert body kit come to real life. And the examples range from his own company, Live To Offend, which has already produced E30 BMW aero kits, to this insane NFS: Heat-borrowed Polestar 1 aero package. The latter is coming to SEMA in November as a wacky build, with the machine set to debut at the same time with the launch of the said game.

Then there's the mysterious widebody LFA the Japanese automotive producer has been testing at the Nurburgring, with the most recent sighting of the vehicle having taken place this summer - check out the YouTube video below and you'll understand.

This prototype has everybody wondering what Lexus is up to, with one of the theories that have surfaced involving next-generation tire testing. So yes, the concept of a widebody LFA is not as crazy as it might sound.
