Lexus LFA To Receive CEC Custom Treatment

The Lexus LFA is one of those vehicles that combines mathematics with literature. While the car manages to deliver an ultra-high level of performance, its price can't be justified by this. To fully understand the LFA, you have to see past the numbers, which are great but not the best in its league. You have to feel the vehicle, find its multiple special sides, both in terms of engineering and emotion. We also have to mention the exclusivity here, but this is another story, so we won't focus on this asset of the LFA.

Knowing all this, it's easy to understand that aiming to tune such a vehicle is an incredibly difficult task. And yet, some are ready to offer the Japanese supercar an aftermarket treatment that is aimed at refining it even further.

U.S. tuner CEC has agreed with Lexus North America to develop an aftermarket program for the vehicle, as autoblog reports. The initiative will give birth to three unique incarnations of the vehicle. As expected, each custom LFA will come with an infinity of tailor-made features in order to make the owner's gloves jealous.

"We believe these three CEC Tuner Edition LFAs will be the most expensive and rarest of all the LFA supercars that Lexus will manufacturer and sell worldwide," Sherif Yassa, Vice President of CEC was quoted as saying by the aforementioned source.

CEC claims that Lexus' engineers have made enough efforts, but isn't quite sure about the work performed by the company's designers. In other words, the modifications will be focused on the aesthetics area.

However, the vehicle's tech side won't be left in stock condition, as the tuner's program offers a 10 hp output boost and reduces the shift times by .15s.

Now we have one more thing in common with our readers: we're all waiting to see what CEC can do for the LFA.
