Lexus LFA Finished 37th Overall at the 24 Hours of Nurburgring

The 2013 Nurburgring 24 Hours ended with Gazoo Racing's  Lexus LFA team gaining the 37th overall place this weekend.
Despite the unforeseen weather, with rain and fog that caused the race to be delayed for about 11 hours, Lexus team of Akio Toyoda, Masahiko Kageyama, Hiroaki Ishiura and Kazuya Oshima managed to achieve second place in the SP8 class and a 37th overall position.

Leading with 81 laps, the first place in SP8 was taken by the unnamed team formed by Guttroff, Kiesch, Strycek and Klasen, while third place was occupied by Aston Martin Test Centre with Rose, Kern, Allgauer and Leemhuis drivers.

Still, Gazoo racing managed to post the fastest lap in its class, managing to make a complete tour in 9:01.719. Toyota will also benefit from using its own factory personnel in the racing team, as they will gave plenty of feedback to the automaker to improve their technology.
