With the RX nameplate being a best-seller in its class, Lexus has more territory to explore in the crossover area and the LF-NX Concept shows us how the sub-RX upcoming vehicle will look like.
The Lexus LF-NX has just been unveiled at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show and before we’ll show you some photos from the event, we’ll take a look at its stunning design shown in this new video.
Lexus designers are obsessed with shapes and functionality, fact that can be seen in the lines of this mean-looking mid-sized crossover concept. The new bold look is characterized by the signature spindle-grille, thin diamond LED headlights and the recently introduced L-shaped separate daytime running lights. Sharp vertical cuts help with the front fascia’s boldness, separating the bumper from the front wings while also giving shape to some extra air vents.
The profile is dominated by muscular wheel arches, tall doors, curved roof line and sharp-modeled side sills emphasizing the crossover’s dynamics.
At the back, your eyes will be drawn towards the articulated lamp clusters projected down the full depth of the bumper, creating a sharp trailing edge. The trapezoidal theme is also carried here, through the tailgate and license plate’s carving, which is then accentuated by the huge bumper-integrated diffuser.
The mind-boggling design is continued at the interior, with nicely-shaped surfaces emphasizing comfort and functionality. Metal and leather are weaving all over the trimming elements, while the central console features a new touch control system and advanced lightning features.
