Lexus LF-LC Is a Californian Dream

While we’re not particularly fond of how Lexus does without turbocharging, instead using electric motors, and would go for BMWs every time, they are starting to show promise.
Recently, they impressed us with a show of craftsmanship, showing us how a special multi-layer wood trim called Shimamoku is made. Their future plans are also of interests, as they include a GS coupe to rival Audi’s A5. But their greatest triumph in 2012 is the concept car that has won best in show everywhere it was shown, the LF-LC, previewing a new super-coupe.

We think it’s a Japanese masterpiece, eclectic and very complicated in its design. Brian Zuk recorded this video of the LF-LC, most likely somewhere at Pebble Beach.

The concept was designed by the famous Calty design team, so it’s not surprising that it’s a perfect fit for the Californian weather and way of life. Even as a concept, it looks perfectly at home.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
