The new track-focused LF-CC-based race will replace the Lexus SC 430 currently used by the automaker in Super GT Series. Lexus didn’t have much to say about the new vehicle, but revealed that shakedown will commence at the Suzuka race track this week.

As a reminder, the Lexus LF-CC two-door coupe concept was introduced at the 2012 Paris Motor Show as a study that features a dynamic exterior with emphasis on aerodynamics. The vehicle’s design is said to preview the new Lexus RC (IS Coupe).
