Thought the current fully-loaded Lexus IS needs more features? In that case, you can wait for just a bit more and get the 2015 model as it will come with a load of new gadgetry to boost convenience and coolness factor.
Don’t look for exterior design changes because you’ll find nothing but some new LED foglights. For more you got the F Sport pack that adds enough appeal to make it perfect. Instead, you should check the interior features list which will now have some new entries.

Starting with the interior trimming, you can now have the instrument panel and window switches finished in piano black while the new Stratus Gray setup is set to replace the previous Light Gray finish.

Moving to the gadgets, heated/ventilated seats have been added to the F Sport pack and even a heated steering wheel is there to be tick marked if you get the AWD IS model, while all models will benefit from the in-demand Siri Eyes Free mode which allows to command your iPhone 4S and onwards using voice commands.

In addition, you can have the advanced Lexus Enform Remote (with one-year trial subscription included) that allows the owner to control the car remotely via an app for both iOS and Android devices. Among features you can start/stop the engine, control the climate, find the vehicle and even monitor a guest driver to whom you have lent the car for a while.

The infotainment system will also include a rearview camera with dynamic gridlines as well as iHeartRadio 4.0 and Slacker features for the Lexus Enform App Suite.

These upgrades will be available for both the IS 250 and the IS 350, all benefitting from a 48 month/50,000 mile basic limited warranty with roadside assistance for 48 months/unlimited miles.

Just to remind you, both models are powered by V6 gasoline engines spinning the rear wheels by default. The 204 bhp 2.5-liter in the IS 250 is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission, while the more powerful 306 bhp 3.5-liter planted in the IS 350 gets bolted to an eight-speed Sport Direct Shift automatic with steering wheel mounted paddle shifters.

Availability and pricing haven’t been disclosed yet, but stay close as the automaker will probably make them public soon.
