Lexus IS-F Evolution to Be Priced at $250,000

Rumors regarding Lexus' IS-F Evolution continue to surface, with a new report now claiming that the model is expected to be priced at around $250,000. According to 7tune.com, the car is projected to go on sale in the summer of 2010 but we're still waiting for some official details from the car manufacturer itself.

Technical specifications are somehow sketchy at this point but, judging by the rumors, the car will be powered by a V8 engine that will generate somewhere around 423 horsepower. In order to support the performance of the car and reduce the overall weight, Lexus will also install a number of advanced equipment, including carbon-ceramic brakes on all four wheels, carbon interior parts and several other lightweight components.

And because we were talking about the weight, the aforementioned source says Lexus managed to reduce it by around 140 kilos to 1550 kg (3,417 pounds), which obviously play a very important role when it comes to the overall performance figures of the car.

Buying one of those could prove to be a very challenging task as the manufacturer will only produce around 500 units for the global market, but Japanese buyers are expected to get the most.

As you can see for yourselves, the car looks fairly sporty and perfectly matches the high-performance the engine is able to provide.

The first public display of the model is expected to take place this year at the Tokyo Motor Show but, once again, all we have here are just speculations, so we still have to wait to find out if there's indeed something true behind this report.
