Lexus made things quite simple in the US by offering its models in only one trim level to which customers can apply whatever optional equipment they want. In Europe however, dealerships have already pre-selected certain features to create multiple grades and for the IS, these grades got increased by one more - the Executive Edition.
The Lexus IS 300h hybrid sedan makes for one of the best luxury sedans you can have in Europe. You get a high-quality vehicle, which even exceeds German standards in some areas, a decent amount of power and, let’s not forget, tax exemption.
The new Executive Edition is here to enhance the Luxury grade by adding a complete leather upholstery as well as Lexus’ Navigation system, the new pack coming at only £29,995. The new configuration boasts a total of £3,390 of extras over the Luxury grade (which was priced the same) along with features like 17-inch alloy rims, HID headlights, automatic wipers, parking sensors, dual climate control, cruise control, front and rear electric windows, auto-dimming rearview mirror, and a 7-inch infotainment system.
Coming with 3 selectable driving modes (Eco, Normal and Sport), the IS 300h is powered by a 220 hp hybrid system returning a 64.2 mpg UK (53.4 mpg US / 4.4 l/100 km) combined fuel consumption and 103 g/km CO2 emissions while also doing the 0 - 100 km/h (62 mph) in 8.3 seconds.
