Here are two old sedans that can still give you some thrills for low bucks - the first generation Lexus IS 300 and the sixth generation Toyota Cressida. Two cars that you can find almost at every used vehicles dealership for maybe around $2,000 depending on their condition.
Despite the Toyota Cressida’s bulky shape and age, it can make for a perfect beater, a car that still has enough power to go sideways and have fun while at the same time make you not care about any damage you might do to it.
The Cressida was offered with a standard 3-liter inline-six 7M-GE engine making 190 and 185 lb-ft (250 Nm) of torque. Give it some proper maintenance fit the car with some nice rims and you’re all set for fun.
Moving to the fancier Lexus IS 300 introduced in 1998, you should know that you can find one fitted with a 2JZ-GE naturally aspirated 3-liter inline-six engine found on some Toyota Supras too. By default, it makes 215 hp but you know that this engine loves to be turbocharged.
Just have a look at the two cars having some fun in the backyard of a warehouse.
