Lexus ES Commercial: Step Up the Luxury

Lexus marketing bosses are probably in a foul mood for losing the top spot in the US luxury market, because they’ve taken potshots at the competition in their latest commercial for the ES saloon.
Let’s just say on the record that we don’t quite agree with the ad. Yes, the ES offers some decent standard features, and a posh interior, and a quiet ride. But let’s not go running around screaming luxury, because Acura is doing it too with their keyless entry, and it isn’t exactly working for them. Those sort of features should just be considered premium.

The ES is also based on a Toyota Camry, and let’s not forget about the sudden acceleration recalls. We’ll take a F30 3-Series any day, even if it doesn’t have standard leather seats. Lexus should really take a slice of humble pie.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
