OK, so these guys have put a Lexus ES 350 against a BMW 335i against each other just because they have four doors and are silver.
The Lexus is a luxury sedan while the 335i is ranked as a sport sedan. They appear to know that and should have used the new Lexus IS instead, but at the time of the test, the model was not out yet, so they end up using the 2013 ES instead.
So try not to look at it as a competition between those two cars, but rather like a random describing/test driving each of them. The entry level ES 350 has a V6 engine that sends the power to the front wheels only and it has a posh interior, making it a nice executive cruiser. In the opposite corner of another ring, is the new BMW 335i which has a 3-liter inline-six engine sending all the power at the back and a driver-oriented interior.
Now go see the test of these two and again, try to look at it as a two-in-one test drive.
