Japanese luxury brand Lexus today announced it will take personalization to a new level with a line of special edition models selected from among its US lineup. It's called the "Crafted Line by Lexus special edition" and will be available on most sedan and SUV models after their debut at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance.
The major change being introduced is a shade of Ultra White exterior with Obsidian black accents on the grille, mirrors and door handles. It's a look that's popular in the aftermarket world at the moment and many are calling it the "Stormtrooper" after the famous clone soldiers of the Star Wars universe.
This color combination will be offered on the IS 250 F Sport, ES 350 F Sport, GS 350 F Sport, LS 460 F Sport and RX 350 AWD F Sport. Basically, if it's got a body kit and large wheels, you can get the Crafted Line look.
Interior changes are a little more limited and include two-tone leather in either Black/Scarlet or Black/Cabernet, contrast stitching, GPS navigation and a Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross Traffic Alert.
Lexus has partnered with luggage maker TUMI to offer a matching set of baggage matching the car and throws in a Meguiar New Car Care Kit to help keep that white paint immaculately clean.
The Crafted Line by Lexus will be available in dealerships this November, with prices starting at $42,000 for the ES 350 F Sport.
