The latest spot from Lexus is so wrong that we’re forced to love it. The Japanese automaker is so confident in its new styling that it promotes a sexy attitude.
With hurricane Sandy hitting America hard, this is the perfect time to promote a bit more flexibility from a luxury sedan. Not hurricanes, but the winter is the them of this commercial, which features a very sexy brunette.

Because of all the curvaceous imagery (no, we don’t mean the Lexus), we totally missed the point the first time we watched the ad. The girl is actually a metaphor for what the car is doing – instead of calling it quits, she’s strutting her stuff on stilettos, even though there’s snow on the ground. Basically her good high heel control represents a car wheel finding grip in the snow.

The only problem we have with the ad is that it’s a bit misleading. Most cars of this type have a sports biased setup that’s not really the idea solution for heavy snow. What you need is an ugly old Subaru Forester, but then you wouldn’t have the sexy brunette in the ad.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
