Lewis Hamilton has been keeping the flag up, as the Mercedes’ dominance through the 2015 season seems to be sturdy so far. In fact, it’s not just the race track where things seem to be working out for the double time Formula One World Champion. It was recently unveiled the 30-year-old will also appear in the sequel of Ben Stiller’s Zoolander comedy. Gumball 3000 is also on the champ’s agenda, apparently. Man, it sure seems the eccentric Gumball 3000 is growing bigger by the year. Sure, the cars have always been the most expensive in the game, but if they managed to get Lewis Hamilton to participate, that sure would get them a lot more media coverage than ever before. I mean, let’s face it, the British driver is a natural tallent. The Stevenage, Hertfordshire-born racer knew he wanted to do it for a living ever since he was ten. He approached McLaren team principal Ron Dennis at the Autosport Awards ceremony and told him “I want to race for you one day... I want to race for McLaren.” Mercedes’ 20-year long partnership with McLaren might have ended, but it doesn’t mean Hamilton’s childhood dream didn’t come true. What will he drive?
Sure, the next natural question every petrolhead on this planet will ask is what will Hamilton drive. Taking a small look at the champ’s impressive collection we’re pretty sure some of you folks wish he’ll take the Pagani Zonda. Sure, it’s a one-of-a-kind beast that simply has no other person capable of racing it like the champ does so that it would make for a hell of a view.

But then there’s that beautiful Shelby GT500. This puppy sure has the rightful appearance for such an occasion. We all know that the Gumball 3000 rally is all about the looks in the first place.

To be honest, we’d love to see Hamilton driving his freshly ordered McLaren P1 for a change. Just imagine this for a second, a two-time Formula One champion racing all those cocky rich men at the wheel of that beautiful hybrid beast. After all, isn’t McLaren where everything started off in the first place?
