If you can pass that “it’s going to be lots of slipping, lots of sliding” line this fellow keeps repeating in the first part of the video, this 9-minute clip may actually be entertaining. Why? Because we find it funny how Mercedes-Benz is now commissioning YouTubers who talk about Call of Duty for a living to promote their products. Then, there’s also the fact Lewis Hamilton is driving the car.
The lecture in question sounds much like what a gamer would say if he were to present a new product on the market, only that you can feel he’s not the biggest car expert in town. The action takes place at the historic Brooklands motor racing circuit in Weybridge, Surrey, where the German automaker has opened a five-course facility called Mercedes-Benz World. It’s been the place where rookies learn proper drifting, and also one of Lewis Hamilton playgrounds for some time now, and it was opened in 2006.

Since the only condition for a person to hit the track relates to his or her height – you have to be at least 1.5 meters (4.9 feet) tall, this place has seen amateurs like this young gentleman before. Speaking of the host of this video, you’ll want to know we are looking at one of the most successful YouTubers from the UK.

Alastair Aiken on his real name goes by with the nickname Ali-A. The 22-year-old gamer has started his channel by the name Matroix and usually uploads videos related to Call of Duty. Maybe that doesn’t say much about him, but you’ll want to know this fellow has almost 6.7 million subscribers and over 1.5 billion views on YouTube solely, not to mention his other social media accounts.

All these apparently make him famous enough for Mercedes to set up a meeting with their best asset – two-time Formula One world champion, Lewis Hamilton. Now, we’re not here to spoil it for you, but you’ll want to know this much: the track really was quite wet, since it was raining the day they made the video.

P.S. You also wish to know that Lewis Hamilton is a gamer, apparently.
