Whenever his off the track this 2014 Formula One World Champion usually takes his thirst for racing out on one of his personal rides. Last time photogs captured Hamilton holding the wheel, it was with the 760 horsepower Pagani Zonda he got personalized after his special specifications. Since everything has to be about speed and performance, this time Lewis Hamilton used a Ford Shelby GT500 to walk his dog to the beach.
The picture he posted on Instagram a couple of days ago is worthy of any car magazine and could easily make up for an auto shop ad, maybe even for a tuning service that creates replicas of the famous Eleanor muscle car.

Because that is what we’re most likely looking at right now, a replica, something similar to the Gone in 60 Seconds cars. Sure the body of the muscle car looks like the famous Shelby GT500, but without touching it, driving it or at least taking a closer look it’s almost impossible to figure out if it truly is an original.

Yet, since the real ones are so rare, we’re betting our money on a replica. It might as well be a creation of the famous hot rod designer Steve Stanford and built by Cinema Vehicle Services (CVS), who knows, maybe Hamilton is a close friend of the auto brainiac. Not that we’re saying Hamilton wouldn’t afford one. After all, let us not forget that the F1 champ also owns a one of a kind Pagani Zonda that is even named after him.
