Don’t let anything stand in the way of your dreams. If you already own one or several Aston Martin cars, the British automaker is offering a service that will help you show them off in great style, worthy of a real-life James Bond – or James Bond villain.
The Aston Martin Automotive Galleries and Lairs service (yes, they’re promising to build you a lair!) was launched in the summer of 2019 at Pebble Beach, as part of the company’s bespoke division, Q by Aston Martin. Now that you have some time on your hands (and money to spare, it goes without saying), it’s time to revisit that concept in preparation for the most outrageous home / garage remodeling possible.

The service is not Aston Martin’s first foray into real estate. In fact, it uses the same team that worked on the Aston Martin Residences in Miami, the luxury condo building that will be completed in 2022 and that comes with a $50 million penthouse with a Vulcan parked inside. The same designers also worked on the House of Aston Martin Aoyama, in Tokyo, which is the company’s first global center, and the interiors of many dealerships.

In other words, they have plenty of experience with interior design and, where need be, they will be working closely with local designers and architects, hand-picked for their portfolios and the scope of the project. Of course, every project will take into account the owner’s wishes and desires, as well as whatever suggestions he or she might have.

The idea is to have Aston Martin owners think outside the box where their garages are concerned. Whether they want to have a regular garage (as boring as it might be), a genuine auto gallery with display bays and entertainment / lounge areas, or even a lair worthy of James Bond or any of the villains he’s ever faced off on the big screen, they will have it done.

Renderings released by the automaker show anything is possible, from minimalist garages that integrate the car into the daily living space, to superb auto museums tucked away under pools, hidden behind aquariums that double as walls, or perched high on top of detached buildings. The service even includes the mention that full-blown “retreats” or houses can be built around a single car, which is probably the epitome of a customized space for a vehicle.

“Imagine a home or luxury retreat built around your car,” Aston Martin Chief Creative Officer Marek Reichman said at the launch. “Picture creating the ultimate space to showcase your own automotive works of art. This is now achievable with this new offering. For the car enthusiast the garage is as important as the rest of the house and a bespoke auto gallery designed by Aston Martin that either focuses on showing off the car or is part of a larger, integrated entertainment space with simulators and such like, takes Aston Martin ownership to the next level.”

Because you can only have the best for your automotive works of art, the garages that will ultimately house them will be works of art themselves. One suggestion from the Obermoser Arch-Omo Architecture firm, for example, is of an underground circular space housing the Valhalla and the DB5, surrounded by plenty of space for owner and guests to socialize and have fun.

With collectibles and classics, the service even makes it possible to create period-accurate spaces to match the cars in storage – complete time capsules, if you will. As Aston Martin Partnerships Director Sebastien Delmaire put it on the same occasion, the possibilities are endless. Your bank account would better be up to the task.

“We are able to cover every requirement, whether it is to display single cars as pieces of automotive art or a full collection of cars in a private museum,” Delmaire explained. “These spaces provide an opportunity for people to create their own unique world where they can share their passion for cars with their guests.”
