Leonardo DiCaprio has, more than once, made his opinions on preserving the environment and sustainability very clear. He was also one of the first customers to take delivery of a Fisker Karma.
Well, apparently, the American automaker has signed a deal with the actor to promote the company. He is also to become an equity investor in the company, joining the board of ‘shot-callers’ at the helm, thus enabling him to make his mark on the company from a managerial point of view - a good thing, we say.
Being questioned on the event, DiCaprio said “My foundation supports efforts to secure a sustainable future for our planet and all its inhabitants [. . .] I am delighted to be working with Fisker Automotive to promote this shared vision.”
We are curious to see how this partnership pans out, but considering DiCaprio’s world-famous status and very good public image, he is just the kind of face that Fisker needs to achieve its goals, in the face of numerous setbacks and ill-minded corporate interests.
