With Porsche always keeping us on our toes thanks to its 911 release policy, LEGO seems willing to grab a slice of the Zuffenhausen pie. As a result, we'll get to enjoy a plastic incarnation of the current 911 GT3 RS.
We're dealing with a LEGO Technic set that's being showcased here in... prototype form. Coming as a 1:10 scale model, the track-savvy toy is covered in the kind of camouflage we see on actual test vehicles.

We never expected a day would come when we'd discuss such matters regarding the LEGO universe and yet here we are, telling you the rumor mill claims the camo stickers won't be present on the production version of the kit. In fact, stickers are probably the greatest opinion-splitting feature LEGO has ever offered, since their deterioration can affect the image of a model in time.

Yes, this is a prototype, one that has just made its debut at the London Toy Fair. In fact, you can check it out in the footage below, which has been captured at the event (hat tip to Brothers Brick). You'll be able to buy the kit later this year and you should be prepared to pay well over $100 for it.

Given the size of the plastic contraption, as well as the Technic labeling, expect to enjoy plenty of goodies that require you to zoom in on this creation.

For us, the most impressive feature we were able to spot using the video is the set of functional PDK paddle shifters. We'll have to wait for the official release in order to tell how deep this part of the story is, though.

Even the elements that aren't dynamic manage to impress, with the rollcage present inside the scale model being an example as good as any. Then there's the front fascia, which is one of the best official LEGO pieces we've seen in a while.

With the Porsche 911 GT3 RS following last year's Ferrari F40 LEGO Creator kit, we can't help but notice the massive change of focus.
