According to the available information, the expanded line-up of Speed Champions will include several additional exciting new models and related bricks: the 1968 Ford Mustang Fastback, the Ford Fiesta M-Sport WRC, the Ferrari 488 GT3 Scuderia Corsa, the Porsche 919 Hybrid, 911 RSR and 911 Turbo 3.0, and Ferrari's Ultimate Garage.

For 2018 and the new line, Lego also changed the color of the boxes to dark grey. This is has been done by Lego every year since the launch of Speed Champions: in 2015 the color theme was blue, it turned to green in 2016 and became gold last year.

Prices for the new Legos in Europe range between 15 Euro for the Mustang Fastback, for instance, and can reach as much as 100 Euro for the Ferrari Garage. Pricing for the U.S. Is yet to be announced, but word is they will be same as on the Old Continent.

Lego's Speed Champions line was born in 2015, after the Danish toy maker signed deals with  automobile manufacturers Ferrari, McLaren and Porsche to license their vehicles. Initially, there were seven different Lego models offered in this line, as well as four sets of stand-alone vehicles.

Not only the cars are purpose built for the task at hand, but also the figurines: they all racing car overalls. There is also a winner’s cup, flags and detailed tools included in the sets, as well as garages and even a development center.

For now, Lego's website does not show the 2018 lineup, but going through the existing models, including videos, can be a very rewarding experience for those with a passion for bricks and how they come together.
