LEGO Porsche 911 GT3 RS PDK "Sold Out" After One Day, Here's a Speed Build

We've been talking about the LEGO incarnation of the Porsche 911 GT3 RS since January, when the plastic-fantastic Rennsport 911 was first teased. Well, the time has finally come to get your hands on one, but there's an unfortunate twist.
You see, the Danish toy maker wanted to play nice, so it set the order book opening date for June 1st (you know, International Children's Day). The only problem is that, one day later, the LEGO online shop shows an "out of stock" message when it comes to this more-than-a-toy, hence the title above.

We're not sure how quickly this process happens when it comes to other LEGO contraptions, but this means that, if you order one today, it will be shipped in 30 days' time.

Oh well, at least this might make the already realistic brick machine seem even closer to the real deal - with Porsche only building 2,000 units of the 991 GT3 RS per year, grabbing one can be extremely difficult, especially if you don't want to add fuel to the speculation market fire and pay $400,000 for such a track-savvy Neunelfer (for the record, the MSRP sits at $175,900).

Returning to the LEGO part of the story, the GT3 RS is the current flagship of the Technic range, so you shouldn't be surprised by the fact that people rushed to pay $299 for one of these.

We're dealing with 2,704 pieces, which, once assembled, will bring a 22-inch long four-wheeled creature to your living room.

And, to make those of you who have some waiting to do feel better, we've brought along a speed build that shows this imaginary track instrument being put together. And since a LEGO builder's fingers are never crossed, we'll use the plain way of saying that we hope this clip serves its purpose and won't work as an appetizer instead.
