We're not usually big fans of rushing things up, so, when it comes to the holidays, we prefer to enjoy each occasion before focusing on the ones that follow. However, McLaren has just delivered a reason to think about January 1st, 2019. That's the date when the brick version of the McLaren Senna debuts.
The British automotive producer has just released a teser video showcasing the plastic-fantastic Senna and you can find the video at the bottom of the page.
However, while the toy in the clip is blurry, it's no secret this is a for-children representation of the 800 horsepower hypercar. After all, the LEGO website even includes the details of the set.
Now, before any geek jumps for joy, you should know this is a Speed Champion set, so we're talking about a basic model with 219 pieces, as opposed to LEGO Technic flagships like the Porsche 911 GT3 RS or the Bugatti Chiron, which can easily be labeled as a dream for any generation.
The Senna toy measures 1” (4cm) high, 5” (15cm) long and 1” (5cm) wide., while the wind tunnel that comes with the car is 1” (5cm) high, 2” (6cm) wide and 1” (4cm) deep.
The pricing has been set at $14.99, so getting this go-fast creation on your little one's desk shouldn't be difficult.
To help you pass the time, we've brought along an image gallery of the tiny Woking animal. And while you're reading this, die-hard LEGO builders are probably drafting up a plan to build the GTR incarnation of the McLaren Senna.
You know, the circuit-only version that we recently discussed. So far, McLaren has only showcased the concept, but the final version is set to land soon.
And while the real-world McLaren Senna GTR will get a road-legal conversion kit, we wouldn't hold our breath for such a development showing up in the plastic brick realm.
