Saying “Jeep WIllys” is like saying “offroad” but how does this statement stand when we introduce LEGO into the game? One passionate plastic builder called Sheepo has a rather interesting answer to this question, with the man introducing a whole range of Willys-related LEGO goodies that actually work off the road.
It all starts with what the builder calls a Modular All-Terrain Platform or MAP. Basically, there are two chassis versions. The first is for the manual version of the build - by this, we’re referring to the one you’ll have to move around by hand. The second is for the radio controlled version and this project obviously also includes a controller.

While many of us may have a thing for LEGO, this is no let’s-do-it-over-a-coffee project. For instance, the RC version is comprised of around 500 parts. Aside from this pair of frames, we obviously also get a body, which comes with the expected collapsible windshield.

Sheepo is now selling the instructions and, like we said, you should expect a pretty serious Lego Technic build.

This looks like a rather interesting occupation for the holidays, especially since, once the car is complete, you can take your Jeep out in nature to play. Sure, it may not sound like plastic brick creations are the kind of thing you’d want to roll out through the forest, but this is exactly what we are shown in the clip below, which presents both the manual and the RC Willys versions.
