While electric rides seem to be all the rage these days, they come with a price. With most mainstream e-bikes standing between $1500 – $4000, it's hard to find a good model. Lectric is back, and this time it got some nice upgrades in the bag that might be fit for any pocket.
Lectric doesn't have a long history to boast about, but it puts on the table e-bikes that deliver exactly what people need: an everyday ride that gets you from point A to point B fast and fun at an affordable price.

At its core, the new 2.0 is still the same Lectric XP bike. The foldable frame design was retained. Its 800-watt peak motor, 48-volt battery, and 28 mph (45 kph) top speed are no different than the previous model. Lectric just wanted to make it more "adventure-friendly," as it puts it. New mounting points for rear racks, bike locks, and backset were added to give it some cargo space. Now the e-bike has a max load for the rear rack of 55 lbs ( 25 kg).

It can go more than the previous model with up to 45+ mile ( 72+ km) range. However, it's important to note that the numbers may vary depending on weight load, terrain, weather, and other factors. New longer handlebars provide more comfort, better performance, and versatility. Plus, the increased space allows adding accessories like a phone holder or mirror.

The next-gen also comes with variable front oil suspension for shock absorption and an IP-65 rating for greater water and dust resistance, so you can conquer any weather conditions. Additionally, the previous 4-inch puncture-resistant fat tires have been changed with 3-inch tires for more agility.

Lectric XP 2.0 is priced at $999. Even if it's $100 more than its previous version, it still remains perhaps the best price option for its category. The only downside to this e-bike is that it only ships to the U.S.
