Leathery Interior For SL 600 (R230) Roadster From Carlex Design

Every project from the interior specialists from Carlex Design we have ever covered so far has somehow managed to impress us more than the previous one, and the following Mercedes-Benz SL 600 Roadster (R230) interior is no different.

Since Carlex Design only posted two photos of their work on the car, one of which seems to be a rendering of a right-hand drive version, it's very probable that the project isn't ready yet.

Nevertheless, from the two images we can get a pretty good idea of the amount of both normal and suede leather scattered on pretty much every interior surface you can touch in the Mercedes-Benz SL 600 Roadster.

Essentially a facelift of the R230 generation of the SL, the model chosen for the project has a center console that still looks good in this day and age, but the Carlex Design version is on an entirely new level.

Powered by a twin-turbocharged V12 pushing 517 hp and 830 Nm (612 lb ft) of torque, the 2008-2012 Mercedes-Benz SL 600 Roadster (R230) is almost a perfect grand tourer for two that is both a coupe and a roadster at the push of a button, so that opulent interior is pretty much the only thing that was missing from the package.

The only thing left to ponder upon is if the Carlex Design project is a one-off, like most of their interior work, or the right-hand drive rendering signals an actual range of interior customizing for the SL Roadster.
