Learning Bike Balance the Hard Way: Crashing

Once more, let us all hail the moment when the hero in this movie decided he should wear a motorcycle helmet and keep the movie in the "that must have hurt" side of the You Tube, and not sending it to the ogrish one.
Since motorcycle stunts come with an inherent lesser level of safety no matter how simpler they might be, compensating on the stunt rider side only seems natural. And movies like this one should be enough explanation; we strongly believe they do, really.

Now, jumping a motorcycle of a short and steep ramp is not the best way to start the stunt training, and this rider learned this the hard way, with a very serious head-on crash. If it weren't for the helmet, things could have ended really nasty; we won't say anything on the scratched elbows and knees, because they are somehow linked to stunts.

And before we end the day we just remembered some of Tom Petty's lyrics: “I'm learning to fly, but I ain't got wings, Coming down is the hardest thing"...
