Talk about being a big cry-baby: one learner driver got himself arrested after he failed his driving test and, instead of leaving the car at the driving center, sped off in anger and thought he could just drive himself home.
As you can imagine, the police weren’t on the same page as him. They caught up with him after finding out where he lived and he was arrested. The car was towed back to the driving center.

It happened in Derby, England, and the man was from Leicester, the Derbyshire Roads Policing Unit writes on the official Twitter page. The man in question is not named, but the police say that he was in to take his driving test. He failed.

Unlike what us regular folks might do (or even did) when failing our driving test, this dude didn’t resign and determine to be better prepared next time. He stole the learner car and thought he might as well drive himself back home. A toddler would be jealous of his tantrum-throwing advanced skill set.

The tweet comes with a photo of the Mini used for the test, from which the suspect ripped off the L plates.

“A50. Fails his driving test in Derby. Throws his teddy out the pram at the test centre, ripping L plates off, jumping in the car and driving away,” the police say on social media. “Heading home to Leicester we waited for him. Stopped, vehicle recovered and reported to court.”

If there was ever a specific kind of behavior to indicate you’re not fit to be a driver, this is probably it. Not only did this man not pass his driver test, which in itself is pardonable and quite common, but he was actually able to show unprecedented levels of maturity, while getting points off the license he doesn’t even have yet.

No wonder then that commenters suggest people like this should be kept off the road altogether.
