Driving is a taught skill set, no, it's not really your fault you're a bad driver. Thankfully, that can be changed. And the people who plan to change it are called Advanced Drivers of America, or ADA for short.
Now, the drivers of America will not be taught to drive like Americans, but like Brits. Or British cops, to be more precise. ADA will launch in the last days of February a training program in Thousand Oaks, CA, which is said to be a life changer.
Based on the driving regime British police officers learn how to drive, the US version is called System of Car Control and it comprises lessons about anything you need to know to become a better driver.
Of course, better in the eyes of ADA does not mean show-off, but crash avoidance. This is why the organization will be conducting in the last days of next month Defensive Driving courses and a single "Bronze" Advanced Driving. "If safe driving is similar to protecting your health and we compare a crash to getting a serious illness, the answer is obvious: Prevention is always better than cure,” Eddie Wren, ADA president said.
"That is what we teach – reliable anticipation; the prevention of serious situations affecting you; the minimization of risk to you and to other people, and the minimization of stress in your driving, too. It is challenging, but it's fascinating and it's fun."
