Seeing the previous teaser images, all we knew about the new Lexus F is that it will be RC sourced, will have a different grille, a hood scoop and it will be powered by a 400-500 hp V8 engine.
Now, another pice has been added to the puzzle, as the engine’s power appears to have been leaked in a Lexus event invite which will be held at the Detroit Motor Show next year in January.
Autoblog recently received an anonymous tip, consisting of a link to the Lexus event website and a mailed invitation, which clearly states that the Lexus RC F will boast 460 hp from a V8 gasoline engine. The text also tells that the RC 350 will be showcased there, wearing a 3.5-liter V6 making 306 hp.
The new F is also said to have an eight-speed direct shift automatic gearbox bolted to the engine and come with a performance suspension inspired by the current IS F CCS-R.
