Lazareth Goes Wild: Renault Twingo V8 Trophy

The new Renault Twingo has been on the market for some time, and there’s even a RenaultSport version. The little French car is highly appreciated, but some people just could not get over the old model.

French tuner Lazareth is known for it’s out-of-the ordinary 2, 3, 4... wheels vehicles powered by huge engines. Just as expected, they launched a new insane vehicle: a V8 mid-engine Renault Twingo.

The Lazareth Renault Twingo V8 Trophy gets a 3.5-liter V8 engine from Rover, that has been mounted in a central rear position. The engine of the Lazareth's Renault Twingo V8 Trophy develops 182 hp, and has a 5-speed manual gearbox. Simple math will show you that the power to weight ratio is staggering, so the little car might provide some serious performance.

No need to worry about handling, as the Twingo V8 Trophy is fitted with a new performance suspension and a wide body kit. The car got some bucket seats for better support, a five point harness and a racing steering wheel.

Huge 18 inch wheels have been fitted on the Renault Twingo V8 Trophy with racing tires. The little beast comes with a price of 70,000 euros. So you must really like the Renault badge, the Twingo model and the Lazareth philosophy in order to write a check that big for a car this small.

We'd really like to see the Renault Twingo V8 Trophy next to a Clio V6 on a track. The results might be surprising.
