Daimler Buses' Setra brand has had quite a good year in 2013, with its new range of Euro 6 buses and touring coaches achieving numerous accolades and awards.
The Ulm-based brand is starting the year with yet another milestone, as the last Setra ComofrtClass 400 to be built has just left the factory and met its new owner, Swabian bus operator “Teinachtal-Reisen”.
“I have always associated the name Setra with advanced vehicle technology, smooth handling and great all-round service,” said Helmut Maier, who is in charge of the transit company already in the fourth generation, and who grew up with the buses from the venerable Ulm-based bus maker.
By coincidence, the Setra 415 GT that represents the last of its breed is also the fiftieth Setra bus for the family-owned bus operator.
The Setra ComfortClass 400 generation was technically replaced from 2012 by the new ComfortClass 500, which was voted “Coach of the Year 2014” at Europe's most important bus show in Belgium.
