While the Dubai Police keeps updating its supercar fleet, it looks like the Los Angeles Police Department is also ready to play the supercar game. The LAPD has recently welcomed a Lamborghini Gallardo to its fleet.
We are talking about a pre-facelift Gallardo, with the Raging Bull having a very, very impressive presence in the police livery - while in Dubai they use White with Black accents, the Black and White scheme of the LAPS seems to bring out a car’s features in a more spectacular fashion.

Before anybody starts asking for the LAPD’s financial report, we have to explain that the Lamborghini Gallardo is a donation. The Italian supercar came from Travis and Nathalie Marg, who own Light Source 1, a fiber optics company. And while the gas prices in LA aren’t as low as those in Dubai, they’re still reasonable compared to those in many other parts of the world.

The Gallardo will not be used as a pursuit vehicle, as it is set to be used for charitable events. The Lambo will be shown alongside the LAPD’s Air Support Team. We have to admit that the Gallardo and the helicopter in the adjacent image make for quite a pair.

The LAPD Lamborghini Gallardo will definitely be quite a star, with the supercar already having its own Instagram page.
