This weekend, the 2013 DTM Championship came to an end, with BMW retaining its hard won Manufacturer's Title from 2012. Over the 10 races of the season, one man proved its worth over and over again.
That man was Augusto Farfus, the Brazilian driver that joined the BMW team in 2007. This year he won no less than 3 races, one in the opening run at Hockenheim, one at Oberschleben and one at Zandvoort.
Actually, he claimed the most victories this year as did BMW with 5 wins out of 10 races. Furthermore, the teams running under the Bavarian roundel managed to place themselves on the pole position 4 times this year and record 4 of fastest laps.
All in all, this season was successful and went better than expected, especially considering that BMW only returned to the DTM last year, when they managed to win the Driver's and Manufacturer's titles.
For such a season, an onboard video of one of Augusto's last laps on the Hockenheim seems like a proper ending. Enjoy!
