Why would you ever cover your luxury ride in something that makes passers-by want to touch it? That’s a question we still haven’t answered yet, but we can tell you this: people really like to tune their cars with velvet wraps.
It might be just a simple coincidence but like the Land Rover you can admire (?) in the picture above, the famous Ferrari 599 wrapped in black velvet also came from the UK. It was back in 2013 people first saw the weird exotic and days later the first pictures and videos with it went viral. The Italian sportscar eventually received the unofficial name of “Furrari” and, as you can imagine, it’s still turning heads in the busy traffic of the British capital city.
And then, just when we thought worse (sorry, we mean cooler) is not possible, another weird creation was seen on the streets of London. The sports fever was left out with this unit though, since this one was in fact a London taxi wrapped in tiger fur.
Getting back to the car in question, this dark-blue velvet wrap was applied on a Land Rover Discovery and was seen on the streets of Manchester a couple of days ago. With a red finish on the top, the soft cover was not only amazing for its color, but it appears people rather liked it for tactile reasons.
