Land Rover to Shine in Shanghai and New York

British automotive manufacturer Land Rover is currently displaying in Shanghai, with the same line-up to also be presented at the New York International Auto Show (NYIAS) this week.The Range Rover Autobiography Ultimate Edition will be unveiled for the first time in China and North America. Only 500 units of this Limited Edition vehicle will be commissioned globally, with more than 150 orders for the Ultimate taken in China and more than 50 in the United States already.. The all-new Range Rover Evoque will make its Chinese debut at the Shanghai Auto Show and will also take center stage in New York. The Range Rover Evoque is expected to bring a new group of North American customers to the brand. Every Evoque destined for the United States will be equipped with all-wheel drive and feature a new 240PS 2.0-liter Si4 petrol engine, which combines direct fuel injection, turbocharging and twin variable valve timing for exceptional driveability and fuel-efficiency. The 2012 Model Year Range Rover will also feature on Land Rover's stands at both the Shanghai and New York Shows. New and refreshed features for 2012MY include a range of exterior paint treatments, new 20" V-spoke alloy wheels and a range of new interior color-ways. "China is Land Rover's fastest growing market with Range Rover in particular seeing positive growth – up 59% YOY. The Range Rover Evoque is set to be equally in demand, with more than 1000 Chinese customers placing pre-orders – despite not having seen the car in the metal and before official pricing has been announced," said Land Rover global brand director, John Edwards. autoevolution will be attending the 2011 New York International Auto Show, so stay tuned for some real up close and personal shots of the vehicles, as well as for first-hand details of the motorized contraptions presented at the event.
