Land Rover/Range Rover 3.0 TDV6 Get Superchips Boost

The latest ECU remaps from Superchips increases power output by up to 30 bhp and 67Nm for the 3.0-litre TDV6 variants of the Land Rover Discovery 4 and the Range Rover Sport HSE. Specifically, the Superchips optimisation of the 3.0-litre TDV6’s engine management settings have increased the output to a maximum of 282 bhp and 638 Nm.

“Superchips optimisation of the 3.0-litre TDV6’s engine management settings has resulted in a remap for the latest versions of the Discovery 4 and Range Rover Sport HSE that offers additional pace, flexibility and smoothness,” a company statement reads.

“Careful scrutiny of the engine characteristics and the Land Rover / Range Rover’s Bosch EDC17 ECU engine management settings, allied to comprehensive chassis dyno and real life testing by Superchips technicians, has enabled the firm to locate and remove compromises in both vehicles’ performance.”

Despite the performance increase, Superchips is confident that if a remapped version of the Land Rover Discovery 4 or Range Rover Sport HSE TDV6 is driven in a ‘like for like’ manner against the standard version, owners will experience noticeable fuel economy improvements due to the additional low rev torque delivered by the Superchips upgrade.

Installation of the Superchips ECU remap for Land Rover Discovery 4 / Range Rover Sport HSE TDV6 models is available to customers visiting one of approximately 80 Superchips performance centres, where trained technicians can undertake the remapping procedure.

The Superchips conversion is covered by a full Customer Service Guarantee and an industry-leading 12 month / 30,000 mile supplementary vehicle warranty.

The TDV6 remap is priced at GBP445, including installation and VAT, and is compatible with 2009 onwards 3.0 TDV6 variants of Land Rover Discovery 4 and Range Rover Sport HSE.
