Today (April 30th), Land Rover celebrates its 65th anniversary and to mark the event, the British automaker launched a special edition Defender LXV model.
The LXV (which is 65 in roman numerals) was unveiled at the start of a celebration event at Packington Estate, close to Land Rover’s Solihull factory in the West Midlands of England.

As expected, the Land Rover Defender LXV will be produced in a limited 65-unit series, based on the standard Defender 90 Hard Top Model. It will feature 16-inch Sawtooth wheels and a Santorini Black body color with Corris Gray roof, grille and headlight surrounds for contrast.

Inside, the off-roader will have full leather upholstery with “LVX” markings on the headrests, orange stitching and special edition floor mats. Also, the “LXV” decals will be foud on the exterior, along with the union flag at the tailgate.

The special Defender will be powered by the 2.2-liter diesel engine bolted to a manual 6-speed gearbox, producing 122 PS and 360 Nm of torque. The car will be sold in UK starting at £24,260.
