Lancia Delta Turbo LPG Now Available

Italian carmaker Lancia revealed details on the Delta Turbo LPG variant, powered by a 1.4 Turbo Jet engine that works on both petrol and LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas), which is already on sale in European dealerships.

To get straight to the point, pricing for the Lancia Delta Turbo LPG starts at 23,700 Euros. However, thanks to government incentives in certain European countries, the Lancia Delta Turbo LPG price drops to 18,700 Euros.

There are three trim levels available for the new model, namely Argento, Oro and Platino, and the price goes up to 26,900 Euros for the range-topping model.

The new version of Delta is designed to operate independently on either petrol or LPG engine: start is always gasoline, with automatic switch to LPG after about 40 seconds. Of course, switching from one fuel to another can be done via a specific button.

If the driver is found without LPG in the cylinder, switching to gasoline will be made automatically, to ensure a smooth ride. The total autonomy is substantial: 1413 km. In fact, LPG is a fuel that is considerably cheaper than petrol, diesel and methane, and one can fill his Delta Turbo LPG with just 23 Euros.

The Lancia Delta Turbo LPG develops 120 hp at 5000 rpm and 206 Nm of torque at 1750 rpm. The Lancia Delta Turbo LPG is fitted with a fixed geometry turbocharger and mated to a six-speed gearbox. The maximum speed of the Lancia Delta Turbo LPG is 195 km/h and the new version is able to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.8 seconds.

As far as the economy goes, on the highway the fuel consumption level is at 6.8 liter per 100 km/h (34.6 mpg US) while the CO2 emissions level is at 134 g/km.
