We admit, the title is a bit misleading, but not because it isn't factual or true, but because it may make you think that the following video depicts a lot more hooning action, especially since we're talking about a Formula One track and a bonkers AMG model with a racing driver at the wheel.
Sadly, it doesn't, but the footage is interesting enough just from thinking that it shows the first ever AMG hot hatch completing a lot of takes both in the rain and in the dry on the famous Italian circuit.
We can see Lance David Arnold at the wheel, manhandling the furious car lap after lap, with the intoxicating “brap” sound that the exhaust makes everytime a gear is changed on the seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
In case you didn't know, Arnold is a fully fledged racing pilot who used to drive for Porsche in both the Supercup series and the Nurburgring 24h, while nowadays he is one of the most recently signed instructors for the AMG Driving Academy. The real hero of the footage is the A45 AMG, though, with its 360 horsepower two-liter four cylinder sending its power to all four wheels during certain driving situations, but mostly transforming it into horizontal G's.
