Now that more and more owners of the Lamborghini Urus have taken delivery of their machines, the time has come to look into the future and think about the potential special editions the Italians might launch.
We've brought along a rendering that portrays what could be the Urus Performante. The pixel play sees the Raging Bull being fitted with a widebody kit, but this is only the start of the aero adventure.
For instance, we can also talk about the air extractors on the front fenders, the overly muscular lower front fascia and the side skirts. Of course, we can't forget the rear wing, with all these elements appearing be inspired from the goodies we've seen on the Huracan Performante - who knows? Perhaps e.milano, the pixel art label behind this image decided to bring us the world's first SUV that packs active aero.
Moving past the example delivered by the rendering, Sant'Agata Bolognese might just come with even quicker editions of the Urus. Since the high-riding Bull already comes with a 650 horsepower 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8, such a proposal seems ridiculous. Then again, if we take a look at the LM002, the original Lambo SUV, we notice that customers who were unsatisfied with the 5.2-liter Countach V12 could order a 7.2-liter marine V12.
Of course, the special edition wouldn't be just about extra power, with sharper handling also being involved in the mix.
Then there's current Lamborghini business model. Under Audi ownership, the Italians have diversified their lineup, so, if you think about it, it would be strange to see just one version of the Urus in the showroom.
"What about the market - is there a demand for such a speed behemoth?" we hear you asking. Well, judging by the ever-increasing demand for special editions, we think the clientele for a spiced-up Urus is already there.
