"Something about this doesn't look right" - here's something I wouldn't say about this Lamborghini Urus face-swapped 2020 Audi RS6.
If you're new to this it might mean that you have a healthy social life and by that I mean the opposite of social media. However, if, like me, you're familiar with the face swap trend taking over the automotive side of Instagram and perhaps other networks of the wort, well... this is the latest manifestation.
There's no doubt about the perfect match between the front fascia of the Sant'Agata Bolognese SUV and the rest of the Ingolstadt super-wagon.
And, above anything else, this is a statement towards the styling brilliance of the Lamborghini Centrol Stille, the Italian automaker's design center.
As some of you might recall, we've discussed the idea of mixing the front end of the Urus with an Audi body before, with the results being just as eye-pleasing and there's a visual example involving the R8 facelift. OK, maybe the TT, which is defined by rounded shapes, isn't such a good example.
However, there's one important question that demands an answer - does the Urus face make the new Audi RS6 Avant looks angrier than the original styling cues? My money would be on "no", but you can check out the differences in the Instagram post below and be the judge of it all.
Irony? Sure, there's plenty of it in these pixels. For one thing, I'll remind you that the VW Group owns Lamborghini via Audi. Then there's the fact that the RS6 happens to make for a brilliant super-SUV alternative...
PS: If you're happy and you know it, look for other face swap renderings - here's one that shows what happens when the Toyota 86/Subaru BRZ (the FR-S dissapeared with the Scion brand, remember?) gets the front end of a McLaren 720S.
